Every once in a while, something happens that makes you pause for a moment and take it all in.

Tishy Photography Senior

Recently, I received an email that honestly stopped me in my tracks. Out of an incredible pool of photographers from around the country, I was selected as one of SeniorInspire’s Top 50 Elite Photographers to Follow in 2026, and my work will be featured in the upcoming issue of their magazine.

To say I’m honored, to represent Austin as a top Senior Photographer would be an understatement.

The level of talent in the senior photography community is extraordinary. There are photographers creating breathtaking, creative, magazine-worthy work every single day, so being included among artists I admire so deeply means the world to me.

But the truth is, this recognition isn’t just about the person behind the camera.

It’s about the seniors who trusted me with their stories.

Every session is more than just photographs. It’s capturing a moment in time that only happens once. The excitement, the confidence, the personality, the dreams that are just beginning to take shape. Senior year is such a powerful season of life, and I’m grateful for every student and family who allows me to be part of it.

Those moments are what make the images meaningful.

And they’re what made this recognition possible.

Over the years, my photography journey has been about more than just creating beautiful images. It’s been about connection, storytelling, and helping seniors feel confident, seen, and celebrated during such an important chapter of their lives.

Being recognized by SeniorInspire is incredibly encouraging, but it also reminds me why I do what I do.

Because behind every award, every magazine feature, and every photograph is a person who trusted me to capture something meaningful.

To my seniors and families: Thank you for allowing me to do what I love.

And to the two seniors whose images were selected for the magazine feature, congratulations. Your images will now be part of a national publication, and I couldn’t be more proud.

I can’t wait to share more once the magazine issue is released.

The best is still ahead.

Connect. Capture. Cherish.
