More Than a Model Team

The TMT Austin Model Program is designed to be more than a photo experience - it’s a community built on connection, confidence, and purpose for high school students in Austin - and this season reminded me exactly why this group is so special.

TMT (The Model Team) brings together high school students from different schools, backgrounds, and stories and gives them a place to belong. Yes, they get styled shoots, creative locations, and beautiful images - but more importantly, they get encouragement, mentorship, and a chance to be part of something meaningful. Watching these kids grow into themselves, support one another, and show up with kindness every time is the real magic.

This particular meetup felt extra cozy and intentional. We gathered at a local Austin coffee shop - warm light pouring in, laughter bouncing off the walls, cameras in hand but pressure completely off. These are the moments I love most: natural, real, in-between. The kind of environment where personalities shine and confidence shows up without forcing it.

Inside the TMT Austin Model Program

During the holidays, it felt important to pause and do something bigger than ourselves. As part of our Christmas season together, TMT Austin collected and donated items to Austin Pets Alive, an organization doing incredible work for animals in our city.

This part of TMT matters just as much to me as the photos. I choose students not only for their presence on camera, but for their hearts. Giving back is woven into this program on purpose - to remind these kids that their impact extends far beyond social media or senior year.

Seeing them show up excited to help, proud to give, and genuinely invested in doing good was a moment I won’t forget. That’s the kind of legacy I want this program to leave.

Why TMT Is Different

TMT isn’t about being the loudest, the trendiest, or the most “perfect.” It’s about showing up as you are, learning to be confident in your own skin, and understanding that community always wins.

To my TMT Austin crew - thank you for trusting me, for showing up with open hearts, and for reminding me why I love what I do. You are exactly what this program was meant to be.

And to Austin - thank you for welcoming us, supporting us, and letting us give a little love back. 💛
